Anime AI companion apps in 2026: which ones are worth it Which anime AI companion app is worth it depends on what you want. For one anime companion you design yourself, with pictures and voice messages, Candy AI has an anime category, an Anime style in its character builder and the lowest published annual price in this guide ($47.88 a year, checked 23 October 2026), but a very small free tier. For a big library of anime characters and stories, SpicyChat has an Anime tag and anime-style chat images from its $19.95 tier. For a long-term companion drawn in anime style, Nomi gives every companion an anime image option and lets you start free without a card. Free fan-character chat lives on Character.AI and PolyBuzz, but fan characters can be removed when rights holders object. AI Companions Checked 23 October 2026
